PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an inorganic foam with excellent thermal insulation, mechanical properties and water resistance, etc., through facilitating the balance control between the expansion and hardening during the production process. SOLUTION: This method for producing an inorganic foam comprises the expansion, drying and hardening of a slurry prepared by mixing water with (A) 100 pts.wt. of phosphoric acid compound and/or acid phosphate compound, (B) 50-240 pts.wt. of metal oxide and/or metal hydroxide, (C) 30-100 pts.wt. of a metal carbonate, (D) 10-50 pts.wt of an aldehyde-based condensable resin, (E) 25-400 pts.wt. of inorganic fiber, and (F) 0.01-10 pts.wt. of a surfactant. |
