PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent impartment of a sense of incompatibility to a driver by performing initializing operation of a motor by erroneously detecting stopping at traveling time by providing a means for initializing a command value to the motor as a reference position when finishing the initializing operation of the motor. SOLUTION: A stopping detecting means detects stopping time on the basis of both output signals of a vehicle speed sensor 63 for detecting a vehicle speed of a vehicle mounted with a continuously variable transmission and an input rotation sensor 64 for detecting an input rotating speed of the continuously variable transmission. A motor initializing operation means performs return operation in the other direction up to a reference position after actuating a motor once up to a unidirectional mechanical actuation limit position when detecting stopping time of the vehicle by the stopping detecting means. A stopping time motor command value initializing means initializes a command value to the motor as the reference position when finishing initializing operation of the motor by the motor initializing operation means to thereby prevent inconvenience such as imparting a sense of incompatibility to a driver by initializing the motor by erroneously detecting stopping time at traveling time.
