摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly detect a vehicle or the like trying to cut in while detecting obstacles in a range along the driving route of a driver's own vehicle even when the vehicle is running on a curve by properly and suitably changing the detection ranges of a pair of right and left radar devices. SOLUTION: At the time of judging the existence of a right lane in straight driving, the left rader device is turned to the just forward direction of the left rader device to detect an obstacle such as a preceding vehicle existing on the running lane of the driver's own vehicle and the right radar device is turned to the right lane direction in order to detect the appearance of a vehicle trying to cut in from the adjacent right lane (a). At the time of judging the existence of a right lane in driving on a curve, the left rader device is turned to the advancing direction and the right radar device is turned to the right lane direction (c), (d). At the time of judging that there is no right lane and there is a left lane, the right rader device is turned to the advancing direction and the left rader device is turned to the left lane direction (e), (f).</p>
