ILLUMINATION CONTROL SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination control system which controls an illimination load in accordance with the output of a human body sensor. SOLUTION: Three pyroelectric elements 1a-1c are installed at the doorway of a room as arranged in the direction of human bodies coming in and going out, and human body in the detective area is sensed from a change in the heat ray emitted from a human body. A signal processing part 4 judges any human body coming in or going out from the sequence of the elements 1a-1c which have sensed human body and counts the number of human bodies in the room. If the count of the part 4 is more than zero, another signal processing part 5 generates a control signal to light up the illumination load L. An output drive part 6 controls the power supplied to the illumination load L in conformity to the control signal given by the signal processing part 5 so as to light up the illumination load L.
