PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication equipment capable of securing the service quality of packets different in attributes coexisting on data links and shortening the transmission waiting delay time of a preferential transmission packet while guaranteeing the transmission data amount of each of plural statistically multiplexed logic data links without impairing the flexible routing function of a packet repeater in the communication equipment using the plural data links of different characters to be connected to the equipment of the same party. SOLUTION: Corresponding to information in the transmission packet, suitable character 23 and transmission priority 22 of the transmission data link are determined and the distribution of the packet to the plural data links of the same communicating party equipment and transmission control in respective data links 25a-25h are performed. Thus, the priority control in logic data links 25c-25d and 25e-25g of statistically multiplexed lines 27c and 27d and priority control for the unit of a statistically multiplexed line are performed and the delay time of high-priority transmission packet is reduced.
