PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flexible foamed body having a high expansion ratio, excellent in recovery properties and recycling properties and useful for a conveyer belt or the like by charging a forming mold with a specific foamable thermoplastic elastomer composition, and treating the composition under a specified condition. SOLUTION: This thermoplastic elastomer foamed body having >=3 times expansion ratio and capable of being recycled is obtained by charging a forming mold with a foamable thermoplastic elastomer composition comprising a thermoplastic elastomer such as the styrene-based one, and a chemical foaming agent such as azodicarbonamide, heating the interior of the forming mold while pressurizing the interior to heat and melt the foamable thermoplastic elastomer composition and to degrade the chemical foaming agent, cooling the forming mold while keeping the pressure, reducing the pressure in the interior of the forming mold, opening the forming mold to expand the composition. The foamable thermoplastic elastomer composition in the solid state is preferably charged in the forming mold. |
