<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drain treating device for an air conditioner, which will not be troubled by sucking up dust, insects and the like by a drain pump even when they are mixed into drain water. SOLUTION: A sub drain pan 1 is partitioned into an introducing chamber 1a, reserving drain water introduced from a drain pan 10, and a draining chamber 1b, reserving the drain water introduced from the introducing chamber 1a and drained by a drain pump 2, through a partitioning plate 5 provided with a water introducing port 5b while a U-shape water receiving plate 6 for receiving reverse flow water from the draining chamber 1b and introducing water from the drain pan 19 is provided in the water introducing chamber 1a so as to be opposed to the water introducing port whereby insects, floating on the surface of water, or dust, settled on the bottom of the plate 6, can be prevented from entering into the draining chamber through the water receiving plate and the partitioning plate. On the other hand, a motor 3 is arranged at the outside of the sub drain pan and a motor shaft as well as respective units such as the draining hose lead-out unit and the like are sealed while the draining hose is bent so as to have a U-shape to stay drain water whereby the heat radiation of the motor is improved and the invasion of insects and dust into the sub drain pan is prevented.</p> |
