PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer system wherewith residual quantity of a recording medium can be informed in a simple structure. SOLUTION: A printer outputs an event consumption signal to a printing control device when consumption of a recording medium is made. The printing control device receives the event consumption signal outputted by the printer, and subtracts (S330, 340) the value n of the residual quantity of the recording medium retained by the printer, based on the received event consumption signal, and when replenishment of the recording medium is made, inputted quantity x of replenishment is added (S360, 370) to the value n of the residual quantity. Then, the calculated value n of the residual ink quantity is informed (S380), being expressed on a display. |
