PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily apply correction and trapping processing to an edited image file in the case of generating the edited image file resulting from compositing plural images. SOLUTION: Composite image data G1 are obtained by compositing photographing image data S1 and illustration image data S2 to generate an edited image file F0 of a page description language form thereby. An integral processing unit 2 obtains bit map image data B1 denoting a composited image and mask image data M1 representing an area of an illustration image in the composited image based on the edited image file F0 to generate an edited image file F1 from them. An image processing unit 5 converts the bit map image data B1 into CMYK data and conducts trapping processing to magnify a border between a photographing image and the illustration image based on the mask image data M1. The bit map image data receiving the trapping processing are given to a printer, where the data are printed.
