<p>A method for retrieving information from one or more predefined databases (28). The user enters one or more sets of alphanumeric characters into a user device (10). The alphanumeric characters are transmitted to a receiving device. The alphanumeric characters from the receiving device are input into a computer database search engine (26). The search engine (26) is used to search the distinct databases (28) for data records that contain the alphanumeric characters. Data records containing said alphanumeric characters are identified and input to the transmission device (10) for display at the user device (10).</p> |
