A method of producing a multi-cell analysis chip with reagents (51) attached to the base of micro-wells (24), by an intermediate binding compound (30), is new. The method comprises obtaining an organic composition, which is attached to the base of the micro-wells, and has a reactive component separated by a spacer, from the binding component, obtaining a second organic composition, which reacts with the first, and has a reactive species attached, placing the second composition into contact with the first, and binding the reactive species to the first composition. An Independent claim is also included for a multi-cell analysis chip produced using the novel process.
