PURPOSE: A new universal joint is provided to improve productivity by reducing the number of components and simplifying a structure while fitting the tilting part of a steering shaft having a small angle and to save a producing cost. CONSTITUTION: Power is transmitted since a rotary force is transmitted to a rod member(1) on a slave side if the rod member(2) of a motive side is rotated. Herein, a sliding member(20) inserted into a yoke member(10) rotates upward and downward and to the right and left when the rod members(1,2) are bent a certain angle. The upward and downward rotation is accomplished since an upper and a lower outward projection(21) of the sliding member is guided along with the groove unit(11) of the yoke member and the right and left directional rotation is smoothly operated since the outward projection is in a cylinder type. In addition, a desirable friction state is kept since a ring of adding and subtracting is inserted on the outer circumferential of the yoke member and a compressed spring is elastically installed on the inner side of a C shape.
