PURPOSE: The composition containing the water-insoluble inhibitor for 3-hydroxy-3-methyl glutaryl CoA (HMG-CoA) is provided to increase the solubility of the inhibitor and the absorption rate of the inhibitor into the body, thereby to reduce the dosage. CONSTITUTION: The composition is prepared by adsorbing the coprecipitated and dispersed matter which is formed from 1 parts by weight of the water-insoluble inhibitor for HMG-CoA reduction enzyme and 0.1-20 parts by weight of the coprecipitation and dispersion carrier by using a volatile organic solvent, to 0.5-100 parts by weight of the adsorption carrier. The water-insoluble inhibitor for HMG-CoA reduction enzyme is preferably the lovastatin represented by the formula 1 or the simbastatin represented by the formula 2. The coprecipitation dispersion carrier is preferably selected from polyvinylpyrrolidone, Poloxamer and polyethyleneglycol. The adsorption carrier is selected from lactose, mannitol, sorbitol, sucrose, glucose, fructose and galactose. The volatile organic solvent is selected from chloroform, dichloromethane, acetone, ether, ethanol and methanol.
