PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently provide a battery excellent in airtightness by making a battery precursor having a pipe for communicating the inside/outside of a battery case, and sealing the pipe after removing air by injecting an electrolyte through the pipe. SOLUTION: A power generation element composed of positive/negative electrode plates connected with a lead terminal 3 and a separator is wrapped with a laminated film being a battery case 2 so that only the lead terminal 3 is exposed to adhere the peripheral edge of the laminated film. The opening part 5 is arranged on the opposite side of the lead terminal 3. Next, a metallic pipe 4 is inserted into the battery case 2 from the opening part 5 so as to be partially exposed outside. The opening part 5 is sealed by thermal welding to manufacture a battery precursor 6. Then, an electrolyte is injected into the battery precursor 6 through the metallic pipe 4 by using an injector. Gas infiltrating simultaneously with this is gone outside from the metallic pipe 4. Next, air in the battery precursor 6 is completely removed by a vacuum pump. The metallic pipe 4 is finally sealed by cold press-fitting.
