PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simplified cell retrieving system for wideband CDMA (WCDMA). SOLUTION: A signal detecting circuit is provided with a first serial circuit, having N pieces of taps 142-146 for generating first tap signals from an input signal 111. First logic circuits 130, 132, 134 and 148 are linked so as to receive the plural first tap signals, one of N pieces of predetermined signals and the complements of N pieces of predetermined signals, and they generate first output signals. A second serial circuit has M pieces of taps 150 and 172-184 arranged so as to generate correspondent plural second tap signals from the first output signals. In this case, an N/M ratio is not larger than '4'. A second logic circuit 186 is connected so as to receive one of anti-logarithms and complements of plural second tap signals and generates a second output signal 188. |
