摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining the shoe shape so that push-up force by air flow working on the shoe may be within a specified range when air flow works on the shoe at an attack angle in a specified range. SOLUTION: A shoe 2 has a rectangular (the length (h) and the width (d)) cross section vertical to the longitudinal direction. When air flow works on the shoe 2 in the direction having an attack angleαat the velocity V, push-up force FY works on the shoe 2 vertically to the progressing direction 8 of the shoe 2. With the ranges of the attack angleαand the push-up force FY set to any values, the range of the ratio (n) of the length (h) to the width (d) is found based on the preliminarily found relationship between the ratio (n) and a push-up force factor CY at the attack angleα. According to the range of the rate (n), the length (h) and the width (d) of the rectangular cross section of the shoe 2 are determined so that the push-up force FY by the air flow may be within the set range.
