PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing hollow imitation wood capable of molding a hollow part of the wood substantially at the same concentric position as an axial center of the wood and without molding an unnecessary lateral hole or the like. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a hollow imitation wood comprises a step of disposing mandrel 28 along a longitudinal direction in a cavity 25 of a mold 6 having a lengthwise cavity 25 formed to mold the wood, a step of detachably mounting the other end of a mandrel end supporter 106 for one end to be capable of being brought into contact with an inner periphery of the cavity of the mold 6 from the mandrel 28, a step of closing the mold 6, a step of casting molten resin in the cavity 25 of the mold 6, and a step of retaining the supporter 106 in the mold 6 before or after completely curing the resin after filling the resin in the mold 6 and drawing the mandrel 28 along the lengthwise direction of the cavity 25. |
