PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electric discharge machining liquid mixed with powder of necessary and sufficient amount of fine solid to obtain optimal machining effect, and the manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: Electric discharge machining liquid mixed with powder is mixed with electric discharge machining oil to include a fine solid as a base at a density providing a machining gap of 15μm to 70μm. The manufacture method specifies the density of the fine solid in the range presenting the minimal roughness of machined surface by conducting discharge machining with the electric discharge machining liquid mixed with powder at different densities of the fine solid, and is the method that the fine solid at that density is mixed with respect to the capacity of the discharge machining oil as a base. Since unnecessary amount of the fine solid does not exist in the electric discharge machining oil, this electric discharge machining liquid mixed with powder provides numbers of advantages such as easy maintenance and stable discharge machining in industrial practice. This manufacturing method of the electric discharge machining liquid mixed with powder easily produces the electric discharge machining liquid mixed with powder of the fine solid at the optimal or nearly optimal amount for expected machining effect.
