<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner capable of stably obtaining high quality image even in the case of using the toner under low humidity and not causing any image defect with lapse of time by using a titanium aromatic polycarboxylic acid complex compound. SOLUTION: This toner contains a binder resin and a colorant and an organic metal compound, and this organic metal complex compound is a titanium complex or titanium complex salt containing titanium as a metal atom and as a ligand the aromatic polycarboxylic acid. It is preferred that the binder resin to be used has an acid value of 1-100 mg KOH/g. When the acid value is <1 mg KOH/g, development stability and time lapse stability due to an interaction of the binder resin and the organic titanium compound cannot be fully exhibited and a cross-linking effect is made less probable to occur, and on the other hand, when it exceeds 100 mg KOH/g, the hygroscopicity of the binder resin tends to rise and image density tends to lower, and fog tends to increase.</p> |
