PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light transmission device suitable to high speed communication. SOLUTION: Respective partial parts of a pair of plastic optical fibers 10, 20 used as a light transmission line are ultrasonic-welded over a prescribed length, and an optical coupler part 30 is formed. Clads 12 and 22 formed in the periphery of the cores 11, 21 of respective plastic optical fibers 10, 20 are formed of a clad material mixed with pigments and constituted so that a clad mode beam is attenuated. |
