CONFIGURATION AUTOMATICALLY ADJUSTING BUILD-OUT PERIOD IN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM SUPPORTING MULTIPLE CONSTANT BIT RATE CONNECTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically adjust a build-out period by supporting a multiple constant bit rate(CBR) connection. SOLUTION: In an asynchronous transfer mode ATM disasembler unit 100 that receives an ATM cell and converts data of the ATM cell into a CBR call, when the cell is not received within a proper time interval, a build-out period is automatically adjusted. The build-out period is again defined only for an individual call where a delay in the ATM cell is actually experienced and other calls has no effect. In addition, in the case that an ATM cell with respect to a specific call is delayed, a last PCM sample of a current ATM cell is sent repetitively to a PBX. When an ATM cell is delayed, the frame is repeated. Thus, the PCM sample cannot be destroyed.
