<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fault monitoring system for analog input section which can discover the occurrence of a fault in the analog input section of a fire alarm in an early stage without assistance. SOLUTION: A fault monitoring system for analog input section which monitors the occurrence of a fault in analog input boards 10A-10C and their peripheral sections is installed to a fire alarm which is connected to a CPU board 1 and the analog input boards 10A-10C for inputting analog information to the CPU board 1 through an analog input line 21 for transmitting the input signal of the analog information to the CPU board 1. The system is provided with a terminating board 30 connected to the analog input line 21 for outputting test signals having prescribed values to the line 21. The CPU board 1 is provided with an output section 2 which outputs signals to the terminating board at prescribed monitoring timing so that the test signals having prescribed values may be outputted to the line 21 and a discriminating section 6 which discriminates the presence/absence of a fault in the analog input boards 10A-10C and their peripheral section by discriminating the values of input signals inputted through the line 21 at prescribed synchronizing timing based on the monitoring timing.</p> |
