PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink jet printer in which the space resolution of a plurality of marks to be printed is improved, and an assembling method thereof. SOLUTION: A printer has a print head body 60 comprising a nozzle block 65 including a plurality of adjacent ink grooves arranged at a pitch in order to print an image on a image receiver. The nozzle block 65 can move while sliding on the print head body 60. A moving mechanism moves the nozzle block 65 by a specified distance shorter than a specified pitch. Before the nozzle block 65 is moved, a mark is formed on the image receiver with a space resolution corresponding to the pitch. The nozzle block 65 moved by a specified distance through the moving mechanism forms an extra mark between first marks formed before movement. Since all marks on the image receiver exhibit a space resolution higher than that of the first marks, space resolution of an image is enhanced. |
