<p>A multitrack disk player comprises a plurality of read means capable of reading data simultaneously from adjacent ones of a plurality of tracks formed on the recording area of a disk. A method of error recovery is carried out when one or more read errors occur during simultaneous reading of tracks. The method includes the steps of storing the location or locations of read error, and determining the process of moving the read means in accordance with the stored contents.</p> |
