<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable utilizing a memory effectively in accordance with a line rate by controlling communication rate according to a transmission ability at a transmission side and the state of a line. SOLUTION: This equipment is provided with a congestion detecting means 203 for determining whether or not a data quantity continuously transmitted from a transmission terminal is close to a continuous reception possible data size which is announced to the transmission terminal, determining whether the continuous reception possible data size can be increased or not when the quantity is close to the size, increasing the size when increase is determined as being possible and determining whether a congestion occurs or not during reception. Then the continuous reception possible data size is reduced, when the congestion is detected and response recognition is returned.</p> |
