GETTER DEVICE AND PLATE TYPE IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new getter device and a plate type image display device using it allowing precise control of getter deposited region and provision of stable getter flash without contact with an inner wall of a vacuum container over a length in a plate type vacuum container. SOLUTION: A getter device has an evaporation type linear getter 1 comprising getter material filled into a linear container having a U-section opened in one direction and an annular loop formed by bonding a metallic auxiliary member 2 with the linear getter 1. The annular loop is formed in loop by bonding the metallic auxiliary member 2 to a side of an opening part 3 of the linear getter 1 or the opposite side of the part 3.
