摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent EGR control systems for the control of an intake air quantity from opening and closing EGR valves excessively in a transient phase. SOLUTION: The deviation gndlt of an actual intake air quantity gn obtained in S304 from a target intake air quantity gntrg computed in S305 is calculated in S307, before S311 determines whether its absolute value exceeds a preset value A. If S311 is acceptable or finds it larger, a correction level iefb calculated in S310 depending upon the intake air quantity deviation gndlt is set to zero in S312, so that a final EGR valve opening iefin computed in S313 through the addition of a basic EGR valve opening iebse set in S306 and the intake-air- quantity-deviation-dependent correction level iefb does not include the correction level iefb. This control prevents excessive opening and closing of EGR valves.
