PURPOSE: A method for selling character/sound electronic books by using a network is provided to make existing publications to a database to be downloaded by using a network. CONSTITUTION: A method for selling character/sound electronic books by using a system, composed of an operating server, many customer sites and a network connecting the operating server and the many customer sites, comprises the steps as follows. A customer connected to the operating server retrieves character/sound electronic books for selection. A down system is inputted for retrieved character/sound electronic books. A price is paid for a selected electronic book. Member authentication of a user connected from the customer sites is confirmed and registered. The retrieved electronic book is downloaded to the member site in the inputted down system.
