<p>A latch (10) having a handle (14) with spring leg members (16, 17) which bias a pawl member (13) into engagement with a keeper member (21). The latch handle releases the pawl from engagement with a keeper member. The latch handle releases the pawl from engagement with a keeper member by permitting a force to be applied to the handle by an operator to displace the pawl against a spring bias. A further feature of the present invention is to provide a latch which can be configured to be oriented such that the pawl remains centered in the housing with respect to the thickness of the housing, no matter which side of the housing faces up.</p> |
