PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing a foamed body prepd. with an extrusion molding machine suitable for continuous production of a foamed body (specific gravity of 0.6-1) in various shapes from a specific polyethylene composite material filled with a cellulose powder as a raw material. SOLUTION: The composite material comprises polyethylene (A), a cellulose powder (B), a wax (C), and optionally, an inorg, filler (D), with the constitutional ratio (A)/(B)/(C)/(D)=40-89/10-55/0.5-13/0-25 (in total of 100 pts.wt.). A foamable composite material comprising the composite material having a melt index (at 21.6 kg load) in the range of 1.5-50 g/10 min, and a strand flow length differential <=10 cm, and a chemical foaming agent (E) with a decomposition temp. of 140-200 deg.C and with a generated gas amt. of 20-200 ml/gr is subjected to extrusion foaming molding using an extrusion molding machine to form a molded article having a specific gravity of 0.6-1.0. |
