PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accomplish both of operability and veliability in normal usage and occupant protecting performance in a front collision of a vehicle in a brake pedal device for a vehicle. SOLUTION: When a brake pedal 1 is oscillationally shifted between a first and second oscillation positions, a first fulcrum pin 31 and a second connection p in 34 are positioned on both sides of a straight line connecting the second fulcrum pin 32 and the first connection pin 33 together. When a first link 2 is oscillated, the second connection pin 34 is positioned on the same side as the first fulcrum pin 31 with respect to the straight line. Consequently, in the case of a front collision, the brake pedal 1 is moved not only from the second oscillation position to the first oscillation position but then reversed from the first oscillation position to the second oscillation position side, so that influence of reaction applied to a foot of an occupant can be reduced. |
