PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polishing device and so on for an insulation member, the device having a simple structure and high reliability.SOLUTION: A holding part 17 is provided on the opposite side to the polishing surface of a polishing belt 15. A groove 21 is formed in the holding part 17. The groove 21 is formed in the moving direction of the polishing belt 15. The width of the groove 21 is slightly wider than that of the polishing belt 15. Therefore, the polishing belt 15 is arranged in the groove. The depth of the groove 21 is equal to the thickness of the polishing belt 15. The polishing belt 15 is pressed against the polishing surface side by the holding part 17, thereby applying tension thereto. Consequently, the back of the polishing belt 15 comes into contact with the internal surface of the groove 21. As a result of this, the position of the polishing-side surface of the polishing belt 15 and the position of the polishing-side surface of the holding part 17 substantially coincide. |
