PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for displaying ultrasonic images including a region of interest(ROI) provided with optimum image quality and a background region provided with normal image quality. SOLUTION: In display images, the background region is on the outer side of the ROI. The optimum image quality inside the ROI is obtained by using an image pickup parameter different from the image pickup parameter used for acquiring background images. They include one or a plurality of different transmission waves, the number of transmission focus zones per increased unit depth, different transmission openings and/or reception openings, the different center frequencies of a reception band filter 14 and higher vector density (that is reduced vector interval). Since optimum image pickup is limited to the ROI, a high frame rate is still obtained corresponding to the size inside the ROI. |
