<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the setting number of VC by line concentrating respective NTs through the use of a multiplexer to connect them with an ATM exchange and setting a common VC for connecting an NMS and an NT by the ATM exchange. SOLUTION: The NMS 1 sets a VC connection to an ARP server 2 by a prescribed signal procedure, designates the IP address of an NT 5 (designated NT 5) desiring connection and transmits the inquiring request (ARP request) of the ATM address of this to the server 2. With respect to this ARP request, a correspondence table is retrieved based on the IP address of the designated NT 5 to transmit an obtained ATM address to an NMS 1. Based on this ATM address, the NMS 1 sets VC connection to the designated NT 5 by a prescribed signal procedure. Since in an LMDS 6, the NTs 5 of the same sector are line- concentrated by an MUX 4, when the NMS 1 designates an NT 5 in the same sector to the designated NT 5, the common VS connection is used.</p> |
