PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a pad for body decoration capable of retaining the shape for a long period, excellent in air permeability, surface elasticity and bulkiness and useful for shoulder pads, etc., by cutting a pad member out of a block material of a nonwoven fabric into a prescribed shape and carrying out thermal compression forming of the pad member. SOLUTION: This pad for body decoration is produced by cutting a pad member 18 out of a block material of a nonwoven fabric 13 in which fibers 10 are oriented in the nearly prescribed direction into a prescribed shape so that the fibers 10 of the nonwoven fabric 13 face the nearly thickness direction of the pad member 18, forming a bonding layer on the inner surface of a right side fabric preformed into the prescribed protruding form, sandwiching the pad member 18 through the bonding layer between the right side fabric of the protruding form and a lining fabric, carrying out the thermal compression forming of the pad member 18 sandwiched between the pair of the right side fabric and the lining fabric, forming a pad body and simultaneously bonding the peripheral parts of the pair of the right side fabric and the lining fabric with the bonding layer. Further, the nonwoven fabric 13 is preferably formed by mutually bonding plural laminates of different kinds.
