PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a metal container adaptable to preservation of food for a long period of time while being resistive against transportation under severe conditions and to make the food contained therein preservable under the condition the same as the time of putting-in by a method wherein a resin is laminated at least to the interior of the container suitable for preserving solid, granular food such as unhulled rice, unpolished rice or polished rice for use in an emergency and transporting such food under conditions such as a disaster. SOLUTION: Since durability is required for a container itself when food is preserved therein for a long period of time, a metal is suitable in terms of strength for a material for the container. In the case of preserving solid, granular food such as rice for a long period of time, a resin is laminated to the interior of the container because the solid, granular food is liable to harm the interior of the container at the time of filling into the container or being transported. Thereby, damage is restricted to its minimum extent for the contained food itself. The resin to be laminated is not specified, and any one out of a polyester resin, a polyolefin, resin, a polyamide resin and polyacrylonitrile is usable, and the thickness of lamination is desirable to be 5-100μm.
