PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toroidal-type continuously variable transmission capable of restraining the power transmitting efficiency from being lowered. SOLUTION: A toroidal-type continuously variable transmission 30 is provided with an input shaft 1, an input disc 2a and a hydraulic loading mechanism 6. The input shaft 1 and the input disc 2a are rotated by a driving source E. The hydraulic loading mechanism 6 is provided with a cylinder 41. The cylinder 41 is fitted to the outer periphery of the input disc 2a. The inner surface of the cylinder 41 and the back surface 42a of the input disc 2a form a cylinder chamber 47. Pressurizing oil is supplied to the cylinder chamber 47. The driving source E and the input shaft 1 are connected to each other by a power transmitting part 52. The power transmitting part 52 is provided with meshing parts 54, 55. The meshing parts 54, 55 are arranged in the positions radially part away from the input shaft 1.
