PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the elongation and distortion of a meshy material and make it possible to maintain the dimensional accuracy of a printed image high by a method wherein the meshy material for a screen printing is formed by weaving a wire material made of a metal fine wire or a synthetic resin into a meshy material so as to integrally bond together wire materials adjacent to each other at their intersecting part. SOLUTION: A stainless steel wire as a wire material 2 is woven in a plain fabric structure. After being degreased and cleansed, the obtained meshy material is pinched by molybdenum plates 3 from above and below so as to keep on giving predetermined pressing forces P to the meshy material by placing weights 4 on the molybdenum plates 3. By heat-treating the meshy material under the above state in a heating oven adjusted under N2 gas atmosphere, the wire materials are diffusibly bonded together, resulting in completing a required meshy material 1 for screen printing. After a flexible photosensitive resin film is uniformly applied on the surface of the meshy material 1 for the screen printing, a printing screen plate is formed by exposing and developing an image. By employing the screen plate, the screen printing is executed.
