PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass scriber which does not need a space around a table and thereby has a small by making the table a semi-fixed state. SOLUTION: This glass scriber is provided with a guide bar 4 itself in a state capable of being moved in the direction Y, wherein the guide bar 4 holds a scribing head 7 movably in the direction X, and furthermore provided with a mechanism which can change the direction of a cutter wheel chip 8 at an angle of 90 degree. Thereby, the glass scriber can scribe in the directions X and Y without moving the table 1. The rotation of the table 1 is sufficient, when the table 1 can be subjected to aθrotation in an extent enabling the adjustment of the direction of the glass plate W. Thereby, the main body of the glass scriber does need a space having been disposed around the table of a conventional scriber, and permits the reduction in the size.
