<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform data input by directly touching a position corresponding to a character and a symbol shown on a display by making a liquid crystal display panel part engage with a pressure detection panel part and performing data input by pressing a liquid crystal display panel surface. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal panel part 110A is composed of an upper polarizing plate 101, a phase difference plate 102, an upper transparent member 103, an upper transparent conductive pattern 104, a liquid crystal layer 105, a lower transparent conductive pattern 106, etc. A pressure detection panel part 100B consists of an upper film 111, an upper conductive pattern 112, a spacer 113, a lower conductive pattern 114 and a lower film 115. When an operator presses the plate 101, a liquid crystal panel is deformed to deform the part 100B and the upper and lower conductive patterns 112 and 114 are short-circuited. The deformation of the liquid crystal is effectively transferred to a corresponding pressure detecting part by such a manner that cushioning material 110 is inserted between the parts 100A and 100B.</p> |
