PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and inexpensively manufacture an exchanger which secures satisfactory high temperature strength to be used by sealing the lower ends of many hollow tubes by a tube plate and supporting the same, and storing the respective hollow tubes in a cast mold formed by casting ceramic slurry. SOLUTION: Many hollow tubes 1 are formed of ceramics and metal, an opening 2 is disposed in each of the upper ends thereof, and a container 3 is disposed in the periphery. In the periphery of each hollow tube 1, a casting mold 4 is disposed through a circular groove 5 corresponding to the container 3, many openings 6 in which the respective hollow tubes 1 are inserted are disposed, and a passage 7 and a suction and discharge pipe 9 are disposed. To form a tube plate for sealing the lower ends of the hollow tubes 1 and supporting the same, slurry is introduced from above the container 3 to be cast, and the casting mold 4 is removed. The slurry used has a difference in coefficient of thermal expansion from the tube plate within 0.5×10-6K-1, and shrinkage of slurry after sintering is set within 0.5%.
