<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a digital broadcast recording and reproducing device by which a recorded MPEG signal is reproduced excellently even when an MPEG-PS or TS signal is in use. SOLUTION: An MPEG demultiplexer 2 selects a program included in an MPEG-TS signal and outputs the selected signal as the MPEG-TS signal or an MPEG-PS signal. An MPEG-AV decode section 3 decodes the MPEG-PS signal. A DVD drive 5 records/reproduces the MPEG-TS signal and reproduces a medium recording the MPEG-TS signal. An MPEG-TS/PS discrimination and changeover section 6 discriminates whether the reproduced signal is the MPEG-TS signal or the MPEG-PS signal, gives the reproduced signal to the MPEG-demultiplexer 2 when the reproduced signal is the MPEG-TS signal and gives it to the MPEG-AD decode section 3 when the reproduced signal is the MPEG-PS signal.</p> |
