<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic mail receiving system that makes it clear whether or not an incoming mail exists in a terminal device such as a personal computer without making a user operate the terminal device and in a state of reducing the cost to the utmost. SOLUTION: When a provider 30b performs dial transmission to a personal computer 20a, it is provided with a function which adds an identification signal (subscriber's telephone number) to the effect that it is the provider involved and performs dial transmission, and the computer 20a is provided in an incoming call box 50 with an identification signal registering means which identifies a provider, a matching deciding means that decides whether or not a received signal matches the registered identification signal, and a connection rejection alarm generating means which rejects the connection of the next stage and also generates an alarm when decided as matched.</p> |
