<p>The invention provides a method for the in situ remediation of an aquifer having a zone through which passes water contaminated with at least one contaminant which method comprises: a) delivering to the zone in the aquifer an oxygen-containing gas at a pressure of at least 5 psi(0.35 Bar) above hydrostatic pressure at point of delivery by pulsed injection at a frequency in the range of from once per week to 10 times per day, and b) delivering to the zone in the aquifer a microbial culture capable of degrading the at least one chemical contaminant.</p> |
