PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compression molded member capable of reutilizing hard urethane foam and having lightweight properties, high strength and excellent water resistance. SOLUTION: A binder prepared by mixing 10-40 pts.wt. of an aq. emulsion type diphenylmethanediisocyanate and water in an isocyanate wt. ratio of 1/1-3/1 is mixed and dispersed in 100 pts.wt. of a powder with a particle size of 1,000μm or less obtained by finely dividing hard urethane foam and the resulting mixture is subjected to compression molding under heating. A compression molded member light in wt., high in bending strength, excellent in water resistance and improved in its surface smoothness by the fine pulverization of hard urethane foam is obtained while workability is enhanced by the curing reaction of the dispersed mixture of the fine powder and the binder under heating. |
