PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image generating system which can lighten the processing load by reducing the futility when a CG image is segmented into arbitrary shapes and the shapes are synthesized into a new shape. SOLUTION: In this image generating system, a CG processing section 20 generates a CG image in each of a plurality of areas by performing the rendering process corresponding to each area. An area setting section 23 sets the outer edge shape of each area and an area layout setting section 24 sets the arranging state of each area. On theses areas, the layout setting by means of a 3D layout setting section 22 and a visual point position setting section 25 can be performed while a preview image generated by means of a preview image generating section 26 is displayed and, thereafter, rendering processing by means of a rendering processing section 27 is performed. The CG image of each area generated by the rendering processing is synthesized with another by means of an image synthesizing section 28. Thus a synthesized image for one page of an output medium is generated. |
