PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of generating exciting oxygen in a conventional chemically excited iodine laser device. SOLUTION: The chemically excited iodine laser device comprises an exciting oxygen generator 3, an iodine gas mixer 24 for mixing exciting oxygen generated by the generator 3 with iodine gas, and a laser oscillating section 20 arranged in an active area for introducing the exciting oxygen mixed with the iodine gas. In this case, the generator 3 has a storage chamber 32 and a reaction chamber 33 divided by a barrier rib 31, the chamber 32 serving to store a mixed liquid having hydrogen peroxide and an alkali mixed together. The generator 3 also has electrodes 37 for electrifying the mixed liquid introduced into the chamber 33 from the chamber 32, whereby the mixed liquid introduced into the chamber 33 is atomized and deposited onto the conductive inner walls of the chamber 33 for recovery. |
