PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture data processing system for allowing a processing means provided at the outside of a digital camera to execute a variety of processing of picture data. SOLUTION: A picture data processing system 1 is provided with a digital camera 3 which photographs an object to be photographed and converts it into picture data, a server computer 4 as a first processing means equipped with a large capacity of storing part which stores picture data obtained by the digital camera 3, and a printer 5 as a second processing means for operating picture processing according to an instruction from a server computer 4. For example, the server computer 4 is set for a trader, and the printer 5 is set in a house, and an instruction to control the printer 5 is issued from a place remote from the house through a communication path 2 by the digital camera 3 so that picture data stored in a hard disk can be printed.
