PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low beam light distribution pattern for easy driving of a driver in one's own vehicle and hardly imparting glare to an oncoming car's driver, in a vehicle headlamp having an H4 bulb type light source bulb. SOLUTION: In this vehicle headlamp, a light source bulb 18 is fixed and supported relatively to a reflector 20 such that both left and right upper end edges 18cL, 18cR of a shade 18c are positioned in nearly equal levels and that the axis Ax2 of a filament 18a is inclined upward by a prescribed angle relative to the optical axis Ax1 of the reflector 20. A reflective surface 20a of the reflector 20 is provided with a downward deflection reflective area 20a1 for reflecting light incident on its own lane side reflective area 20aR after passing near the right upper end edge 18cR of the shade 18c from the filament 18a as downward deflection light. Thereby, a low beam light distribution pattern P is formed such that a horizontal cutoff line CL1 on the oncoming lane side formed by reflected light from its own lane side reflective area 20aR is lowered relatively to a horizontal cutoff line CL2 on its own lane side formed by reflected light from an oncoming lane reflective area 20aL.
