PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and convenient floor stand also functioning as a circulator. SOLUTION: A fluorescent lamp 20 of a straight tube type is disposed in a vertical direction. A cylindrical translucent cover 30 surrounds the fluorescent lamp 20. A pedestal 10 is provided for vertically holding the fluorescent lamp 20 and the translucent cover 30 on the floor. A frame 15 is attached to the pedestal 10. An air inlet 32 is formed at the lower portion of the translucent cover 30. An air outlet 34 for ejecting upward the air staying inside of the cover is formed at the upper portion of the translucent cover 30. A fan 70 accelerates upward the air staying inside of the translucent cover 30. The cylindrical translucent cover 30 is used as a cylindrical member for ejecting the air staying inside a room upward from below. A floor stand thus constituted also functions as a circulator of a cold air collecting and upward ejecting type by the use of the translucent cover 30.
